[NEW CLASS] Join RIT’s Certified Sommelier, Lorraine Hems, to sample delectable wines and delicious food while learning about vineyards, winemaking, and the foundational flavors of food and wine and discover how regional wines and food pairings have a natural affinity—”what grows together, goes together”.  Discussion, Lecture, Workshop

    This course has a required $25 fee, payable online when you register, for the cost of the wine and foods you will be tasting.

Lorraine Hems

Lorraine Hems, BS, MS, CS, CWE, is a lecturer at RIT’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management and an instructor at the New York Kitchen in Canandaigua. She is a Certified Sommelier with The Court of Master Sommeliers and holds several other wine and spirits certifications. After becoming a Certified Wine Judge through American Wine Society, she became an instructor for the program. Lorraine enjoys attending and presenting at conferences as well as judging competitions around the world.
