F44W Writing Workshop (In-Person)

[NEW CONTENT] Following the Writing Workshop format, each class starts with a short lesson about some aspect of the writing craft. Participants then have time to write on a topic of their choice and conference in small groups with class members. We cover a variety of genres and styles in a friendly environment, and participants get to make new Osher friends. Audio/Visual, Discussion, Lecture, Writing, Workshop
Jeanne Strining
Jeanne Strining has worked as a teacher and school administrator in the Webster and Brighton school districts. She has taught the Writing Workshop method both in her classrooms and to adults as a trainer. Now that she has had to take a break from travel, she is enjoying being in Rochester and becoming involved with Osher.
Sandra Condry
Sandra Condry likes to travel and is fascinated by geology and exploring new places. She was a psychologist in Ithaca NY until 2014, when she retired, moved to Rochester, and shortly thereafter joined Osher at RIT.
Jim Hooper
Jim Hooper has a background in teaching government human service workers including supervisors and managers.
Diana Lockhart
Diana Lockhart is a lover of words, sucker for superior sentence structure, and adorer of alliteration.
Kimberly Perry
Kim Perry is a recently retired marketing manager, content creator, and editor who is now immersed in writing what she enjoys.
