[NEW COURSE] Gaudy Night is perhaps the crowning achievement of the Golden Age detective-fiction writer Dorothy L. Sayers. It features both Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane working together to solve a mystery in one of the first Oxford colleges for women, combining detection, romance, and the politics of education in a single volume. We will read slowly to allow plenty of room for discussion.  Discussion, Lecture, Reading

Lisa Jadwin, Ph.D. (English, Princeton University), has 35 years of teaching experience, has won teaching awards, and has taught college-level courses on detective fiction for more than two decades. She is a retired professor from St. John Fisher University.
