In this engaging presentation, Tina Shepard, a Clinical Nutrition Professor at Arizona State University and a Registered Dietitian, will guide you through the essentials of smart grocery shopping. You’ll learn how to: read and understand nutrition labels with confidence, identify nutrient-dense foods and avoid misleading packaging, make budget-friendly, healthy choices in every aisle, compare products to find the best options for your family’s needs. [PRESENTER] Christina (Tina) Shepard is a Clinical Professor and Director of the MS in Nutritional Science degree in the College of Health Solutions at ASU. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a past President of the Arizona Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has led several ASU Study Abroad trips to Spain and Italy, teaching about the Mediterranean Diet as well as other programs to the United Kingdom. She is also a Certified Master Gardener, specializing in growing herbs and vegetables.
