Professor Timothy Snyder is at the University of Toronto where he focuses on Eastern Europe. He has written extensively about threats to freedom and democracy in Europe and our country. In 2017 he published a short book, On Tyranny, consisting of 20 lessons garnered from his 20th century history studies. We will read this book closely and discuss its relevance to the present situation in the USA.  Discussion
