[NEW CLASS] Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) is considered a genius by many. He was a Catalan architect known for his unique and individualistic style, and many of his buildings are considered masterpieces of Catalan Modernisme, most of which are located in Barcelona. Seven of his works are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Gaudí’s most famous works include Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, and Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera). In 1883 he began the Sagrada Família Cathedral, his most significant work to which, 32 years later, he was entirely devoted. While the Cathedral is still not completed, it is getting closer to the projected completion date of 2036. There is nothing like it in the world! Personal insights and photos from an October 2025 trip to Barcelona will be shared. Audio/Visual, Lecture
