[NEW CLASS] Gustave Caillebotte was a French Impressionist painter and, due to his family’s wealth, a collector of his fellow artists’ work. He didn’t begin to paint seriously until after his military service in the Franco-Prussian War in 1871, and by 1876 eight of his paintings were accepted to the Second Impressionists Exhibition.
