[NEW COURSE] This is a 700-year-old classic for a reason. Join the journey with Dante and his guide, Virgil, through Hell. Through reading selected cantos, you will experience one of the greatest analyses of human psychology and morality. While doing so you can determine which circle of Hell you and your friends (not to mention today’s politicians) would have ended up in and why. Dante assigns a circle to biblical and fictional priests, politicians, and poets from the classical time to his contemporaries. Each canto is arranged as a simple prose dual-language translation followed by a short commentary. Discussion, Lecture, Reading
