[NEW COURSE] This is a small introductory class for people who would like to write and would appreciate some help getting started. We cover the basic qualities of good writing: ideas, organization, voice, word choice, and sentence fluency. These qualities can be applied to your choice of writing—memoir, fiction, or essay. Participants will have time in class to write in a friendly, supportive setting. Enrollment Limit: 10 Audio/Visual, Discussion, Lecture, Writing, Workshop

Jeanne Strining
Jeanne Strining has worked as a teacher and school administrator in the Webster and Brighton school districts. She has taught the Writing Workshop method both in her classrooms and to adults as a trainer. Now that she has had to take a break from travel, she is enjoying being in Rochester and becoming involved with Osher.
