Sp49E Weekly Creations (Zoom; OLLI @ Chico)

Grab your sketchbook and assorted art materials! The goal of this class is to complete a piece of art during each weekly session. To do this, we will observe or listen to something inspiring, briefly discuss it, and then create our own original piece of art. Prior to each session, the instructor will share the specific art materials she will be using. Participants are welcome to follow along with the instructor or take off in a direction of their own. 


  • Cris Guenter is both an artist and an educator. She is professor emerita in the School of Education at Chico State and was named the 2008 National Art Educator of the Year by the National Art Education Association. She has been exhibiting her artwork in regional, national, and international exhibitions since 1972. She is currently the past chair of the National Art Education Foundation.

    *This registration item is ZOOM only; there is not an in-person component to this course. It is offered and run by The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Chico State University*
  • Materials: a sketchbook or drawing paper and any other assorted art media that you have and like to use.
