Su08W Discussing The New Yorker Magazine (Zoom Only)
Zoom | Registration opens 6/30/2026 10:00 AM EDT
[NEW CONTENT] Using the current issue of The New Yorker as a jumping off point, we conduct lively discussions of a very broad range of topics, ranging from today’s culture, current events, fiction, history, and, of course, the famous cartoons. When appropriate, very short videos are shown that provide background to articles being discussed. We stay one week behind the current issue so you have time to read it. We will start with the issue that includes June 29 (as there might be a double issue covering two weeks which is not clear at time of this writing). Required Text: The New Yorker magazine, paper copy or e-version Audio/Visual, Discussion, Reading
