Anita Deason, Colonel (Retired), Military & Veteran Liaison for the Office of Senator Boozman invites OLLI members and friends to participate in a workshop for the Veteran’s History Project. This national program with the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress works to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. Colonel Deason explains that it is critical that we capture these stories, and hopes you will be able to attend. At the workshop you will learn about this program and receive training on how to conduct interviews with our veterans and submit these interviews to the Library of Congress. Join us as we work to honor, remember, and capture the histories of those who have served and sacrificed in support of our great nation.
