Do you love to grow your own vegetables and herbs but are limited on space? Does your soil have poor drainage or quality? Raised beds and container gardening may be a solution for you. Raised beds are a great way to increase accessibility to your produce, plan for crop rotation, and can help you avoid some problems often encountered with conventional in-soil gardens. This class will cover the basics of raised bed and container gardening, the pros, the cons, special considerations, and why a raised bed might be right for you. In addition to contrasting between a traditional garden, we will also cover designs, maintenance, and some home-gardening basics.
