What happens when a mysterious, well-dressed woman from the city hires a young man to take her and an equally mysterious pair of coffins to the Ozarks town of Stay More? And what happens when Donald Harington, the creator and chronicler of "Stay More" in more than a dozen beloved novels, unfolds the story of his life and work in playfully combative exchanges with an old and rather mischievous friend? We will take a closer look at two recent posthumous collections of Donald Harington’s work, "Double Toil and Trouble" (2020) and "The Guestroom Novelist" (2019), and discuss what they add to our appreciation of an Arkansas and American original.

  • This course is being offered in a Virtual format, only. The link to join this session via ZOOM will be sent after registration and as class nears.
