Safety & Awareness is not a self-defense or firearm class. It is a seminar that will help you develop and improve your personal safety strategies before you need them. Criminals are looking for vulnerable and easy targets. This class provides valuable information you can apply in every area of your life from home, banks, online, travel, vehicles, to even understanding the psychology of a criminal. Tamie Greg, a former US Navy Veteran and NRA Instructor for Refuse to be a Victim curriculum will provide tips and techniques that will help you be alert and avoid criminal confrontations.

  • This class will meet in person at the new OLLI offices, located at 481 S. Shiloh Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72704. Please read your class reminder email for the exact room location.

Tamie Gregg has been working as a case manager for 19 years. She was a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) case manager for 4 years with the Methodist Children's Home. She promoted the program, created a support group and annual resource fair with over 50 vendors. She has worked with navigating resources, GRG rights, understanding terminology, the guardianship process and adoption.
