History And Tour of Siloam Springs (TR)

Tours & Day Trips | Available

Join a history expert on a walking tour of points of interest in and around Downtown Siloam Springs. Once an Osage Indian hunting ground, the region was settled by white pioneers in the early 1830s. The city of Siloam Springs was platted in 1880 and became a popular summer health resort due to the reputed healing powers of its spring waters. Learn the history and the present-day innovations of this city to the west. After the downtown tour, participants will head to John Brown University for lunch and a historical tour. Learn how this college was founded and how it became accredited. Lunch, on your own, can be purchased at the JBU cafeteria. Meeting location and other information will be sent in the class reminder.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you will be walking over uneven grounds. The time listed includes travel time. The tour begins in Siloam Springs at 10:00.
