Staying Steady: Enhancing Balance and Coordination As We Age

Workshop | Registration opens Tuesday, February 4, 2025 10:00 AM

Isaac Cook, Washington Regional’s personal trainer and exercise physiologist will delve into how balance and coordination change as we age, exploring the physiological and neurological factors that contribute to these shifts. He will also discuss the crucial role that physical activity and exercise play in not only slowing down these age-related changes but also in actively improving balance and coordination.

Participants will learn about various exercises and activities that can enhance stability, reduce the risk of falls, and promote overall physical well-being. By understanding the relationship between movement and aging, you’ll gain practical strategies to maintain and improve your balance and coordination throughout the aging process.

  • This class will meet in person at the Washington Regional Center for Exercise, located at 12 E. Appleby Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703. Please read your class reminder email for the exact room location.
