Transforming Communities: The Economic Role Of Universities

Class | Registration opens Tuesday, February 4, 2025 10:00 AM

Take part in an engaging course with Mike Malone, the Vice Chancellor for Economic Development at the University of Arkansas! With nearly 30 years of experience, including impressive roles in the White House and FEMA, Mike knows a thing or two about how universities can drive economic and community growth.

In this course, Mike will dive into the crucial role that institutions like the U of A play in boosting local economies. Participants will get an overview of effective economic development techniques and programs, with a special focus on how land-grant and research universities contribute to growth and innovation. This is your chance to learn from an expert who has built partnerships and initiatives that make a real impact.

If you’re interested in community development or just want to understand how universities shape our economy, this course is for you.
