College Avenue: What's Happening?
Class | Registration opens Tuesday, August 19, 2025 10:00 AM
Curious about how Fayetteville’s College Avenue has evolved—and where it’s headed next? This engaging class is your front-row seat to the story of one of the city’s most iconic corridors. Trace its transformation from a historic route to Springdale into today’s bustling 71B Corridor, and get an insider look at major updates like the installation of a vital water line and exciting street improvements on the horizon.
You’ll explore fascinating historic photos, hear behind-the-scenes details, and learn about the big ideas shaping the future of this central corridor. Guiding the journey is Britin Bostick, the City of Fayetteville’s Long Range Planning & Special Projects Manager since 2022. With deep insight and contagious enthusiasm, Britin shares why this transformation—from the state highway to vibrant public space—is one of her most meaningful projects.
This program will meet in person at OLLI Headquarters (HQ), located at 481 S. Shiloh Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72704. Please read your class reminder email for the exact room location.
