Savor The Flavor: Brightwater Culinary Tour & 8th Street Market Adventure

Calling all food lovers and curious minds! Join us for a deliciously fun day at Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food, part of Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC). As an academic department at NWACC, Brightwater offers uniquely holistic programs in culinary nutrition, artisanal food, beverage management, and food entrepreneurship— making it a one-of-a-kind destination for culinary creativity and innovation.
We’ll start our day exploring the vibrant 8th Street Market in Bentonville, home to everything from handcrafted cheeses to gourmet chocolate and more. You’ll have time to browse, shop, and enjoy lunch on your own from a tempting array of local food options. After lunch, we’ll get a behind-the-scenes tour of Brightwater, where you’ll see firsthand how future chefs and culinary entrepreneurs are trained in state-of-the-art facilities. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
The first tour of 8th Street Market begins at 10:00 AM. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes. Meeting details will be shared in your class reminder.
