Hike At White Rock Mountain (TR)

Experience nature, adventure, and amazing vistas on this hike along the Rim Trail at White Rock Mountain. Rising 2,309 feet above sea level, White Rock Mountain is the hub of several trail systems offering hundreds of miles of trails to explore. The Rim Trail is a 1.9-mile loop that runs along the edge of the mountain top’s bluff line, boasting 365-degree views of the Ozark National Forest. The hike will conclude at Sunset Shelter, on the west side of the mountain, to take in a picturesque sunset!
The trip to White Rock Mountain is a stretch, so expect a full day of travel. Note that the Rim Trail traverses along steep bluffs and is not for those with a fear of heights.

This option is the Transportation Rate (TR) option.
This program meets in person. Transportation is provided in this selection. Group participants will meet at the designated area and ride a van together to the destination. Meeting details (location & time) will be sent to participants in the program reminder.

Josh Raney
Josh Raney is a native Arkansan and has lived in Fayetteville for 25 years. He earned a BSBA in M (2003) and MEd in Human Resource Development (2008) from the University of Arkansas. In his role, Josh oversees all operations of the institute and works closely with leadership of the College of Education and Health Professions, but also shares his passion for the outdoors by guiding leisure hikes. Josh shares his passion for the outdoors by volunteering to lead
hikes for seasoned adults through OLLI. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, and two sons
Hayes and Pruitt. They spend much of their free time canoeing, camping, hiking, biking and fishing.
