Hike To Hawksbill Crag (TR)

Hike | FULL

Come on this popular OLLI hike to Whitaker Point, more commonly known as Hawksbill Crag, to visit one of the most photographed spots in all of Arkansas. Located in the upper Buffalo National River wilderness area, Hawksbill Crag hangs out over Whitaker Creek, giving 180-degree views of the valley below. This hike becomes especially popular during the fall to enjoy the contrasting colors of the changing leaves. The trail is approximately a 3-mile round trip and will offer stunning views, especially this time of year. The trail is rocky, uneven, and has a lot of elevation changes; therefore is rated a Level 3, based on the OLLI Activity Levels.

Transportation and meeting location information will be sent to participants in their class reminder.

Activity Level: 3

  • This option is the Transportation Rate (TR) option.
