Opera in the Ozarks - 75 Years of Music (CR)

For 75 years, Opera In The Ozarks has been a premier opera training program in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Artists from around the world have come to the OIO campus for 8 weeks a year to study and perform opera in a professional environment. In 2025, OIO opened its new, state-of-the-art performing arts center. This program will provide a tour of the new theater and provide a history of the program. Guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional opera house operates.
Tour time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Meeting location and departure time will be sent to participants upon registration.
Lunch will be on your own after the tour.
Activity level: 1.
This option is the Commuter Rate (CR) option.
This program meets in person. Participants will drive themselves (commuter rate) to the program location or may elect to meet the transportation group (details to be provided) and follow the van to the destination. This is highly encouraged. Meeting details will be sent in the program reminder.
Chris Cathcart
Chris Cathcart has spent over 50 years in the entertainment industry. In 1994, he came to Branson, Missouri, to help open the 2,200-seat Welk Resort Theatre. For 25 years as Production and Stage Manager, he worked with top entertainers including The Beach Boys, B.B. King, and Andy Williams. He produced shows like BransonFest and The Rankin Brothers Revue, and Broadway hits Shrek and Million Dollar Quartet. Chris now serves as Operations Director for Opera in the Ozarks.
