X2319C - The Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921

2 Sessions | Registration opens 5/21/2025 10:00 AM MST (Arizona)

In June 2021 the county marked the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre. Violet Fletcher, who turned 111 years old in May 2025, gave a moving description of the riot and asked congress to make reparations. The occasion led to Juneteenth being made a federal holiday. Events have added to the story since 2021. We will view the history and discuss what Americans should do to deal with the unfinished issues of 1921
