Field trip to Chandler-Gilbert Community College Ceramic studio. Students will learn about the Ceramics program and the Service-Learning and Civic Engagement program at CGC. Presenters will discuss the importance of volunteerism and highlight the upcoming Empty Bowls event. Students will be encouraged to get their hands a little dirty and make a bowl for the upcoming event. Bowls made during class will be donated to the event and will be available for purchase. Funds raise will be donated AZCEND. Associated Cost: None Note: By registering for this event you acknowledge that your contact information will be shared with the event coordinator.
LOCATION: Address 2626 E Pecos Rd. Chandler 85225, class location is the Ceramics Lab, participants should park in parking lot 4.
Parking is free and open to the public.

Michael Ceschiat

Michael Ceschiat is a residential faculty member and faculty lead of the Ceramics program at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Michael has been making, exhibiting and teaching ceramics for over three decades. Michaels ceramic and steel sculptures have been shown nationally and internationally. Michael has a Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts from Columbus College of Arts and Design majoring in ceramics and sculpture.

Katie Haar

Katie Haar is the Service-Learning and Civic Engagement program supervisor at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Katie has spent the last 6 years connecting students to the community via class service projects or civic engagement opportunities. Katie is a product of CGC and truly values the mission of community college being affordable and accessible to everyone. Katie has her Bachlor in COmmunication from ASU, her MAsters in Education from NAU, and is working on her Doctoratein Education from KSU.
