F2041C - The Bill of Obligations: A Deeper Dive

1 Session | Registration opens 9/21/2026 10:00 AM MST (Arizona)

Last spring semester, the class reviewed the book "The Bill of Obligations" by Richard Haass. This upcoming course will focus more closely on the Ten Obligations and how citizens can engage with them to better understand what it means to be an American citizen. It is not necessary to have read the book or to have attended the previous class. Participants will start with a quick review before discussing each obligation in depth alongside actionable steps toward becoming a more engaged citizen.

Drawing on current events, history books, and documentaries, he shares his insights to foster civic dialogue and bridge divides. He believes all humans are created equal and endowed with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
