This highly interactive course teaches participants practical skills to remain safe, confident, and independent at home. Drawing on nearly 30 years of professional occupational therapy insights and thousands of home visits, this course helps participants recognize everyday hazards, bust common safety myths, explore adaptive equipment, and learn simple strategies to protect independence before a crisis occurs.

Heather Harvey, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with nearly 30 years of experience helping older adults regain, maintain, and protect their independence. She is the founder of Celebrations Across the Miles and has completed thousands of home visits, giving her a practical understanding of the everyday changes that help people remain safe, confident, and independent in the homes they love.
