This class will summarize recent developments in the use of AI in various scientific fields. These fields range from fundamental science to applications in climate science, materials, and biomedical science.
Tom Beck
Tom Beck is the Section Head for Science Engagement in the National Center for Computational Science at ORNL. His research is in the area of computational chemistry and materials science. He received his BS from the University of Minnesota in 1982, and his PhD from the University of Chicago in 1987. After a postdoctoral assignment in Los Alamos National Laboratory, he was a professor at the University of Cincinnati for 32 years. He joined ORNL in 2021.
