In this class we will discuss the Chalk, a major aquifer of the United Kingdom, and abandoned mine-related groundwater in the Rocky Mountains.
Gareth Davies
Gareth Davies is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America. He was nominated and elected based on his decades of work in groundwater, particularly regarding applying tracing techniques. He conducted several decades of work in the United States, including abandoned mines in the Rocky Mountains, in karst and fractured rocks in Tennessee, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and Maine. He has researched caves, specifically their age and origins.
