105 Making Clay Vases
Art, Culture, Music, Tra | Registration opens 12/2/25 9:00 AM EST
Students will use templates to make vases which will have different functions. Samples will be provided on the first day of class. Using patterns, which will be provided, each person will choose the texture and design for their vase. All participants will then choose the color(s) they wish to finish their pieces.
- The class fee is $60, payable to ORICL, cash or check only. Please remit payment by Monday, February 2, 2026.
Bill Capshaw
Bill Capshaw is a member of the Advisory Board of the Oak Ridge Art Center where he oversees the planning and operation of the pottery studio and teaches beginning to advanced classes. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (ceramics) in 1971 and a Master of Fine Arts (printing process) in 1974. In addition to teaching at the Art Center, he has given workshops at facilities such as the Appalachian Center for Crafts, Arrowmont, John C. Campbell Folk School, and Vanderbilt University. As a professional artist he competes locally and nationally, has received many awards, and is represented in many museum collections.
