106 Fundamentals of Watercolor Painting

This class will be an introduction to various traditional watercolor tools and techniques. Class participants will have the opportunity to apply these techniques to their own paintings in each class. Supplies will be provided for each class by the instructor.


  • The class fee is $20, payable to ORICL, cash or check only.  Please remit payment by Monday, February 3, 2026.
Verna Shelden

Verna Shelden earned her BA from Boston University, her MEd from Salem State College, and MPH from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. After working for many years in New York City and Charlotte, NC in the field of health care, she retired to Florida where she participated at the Leesburg Center for the Arts. At the Center she developed, directed, and taught the Summer Camp program for all stages of arts development for all grade levels.
