156 Asteroid (230728) Tedstryk and Asteroid Families

Computers, Science, Tech | Registration opens 12/2/25 9:00 AM EST

Ted Stryk will speak about the asteroid that was recently named in his honor. There is not enough known about the asteroid to give a presentation just about it, but it is a member of the “Themis” family of asteroids, meaning that these asteroids were all part of an original body, the largest surviving piece of which is asteroid (24) Themis. Ted will segue into talking about the asteroid families in the main asteroid belt.
