The American television situation comedy is a uniquely American form of entertainment, one that both reflects American popular culture and helps to shape it. Examining depictions of Jews and Judaism in situation comedies from the 1950s to the present provides a window into the American Jewish experience as well as into the mainstream views of American Jews.
Dale Rosenberg
Dale Rosenberg is a freelance Jewish educator and the rebbitzen (rabbi’s wife) in the Jewish Congregation of Oak Ridge. She teaches across the lifespan and in a variety of settings: colleges, synagogues, community centers, and retreats. Dale moved to Oak Ridge in January 2024 and began teaching at ORICL in February 2024.
