At sixty-five years old, John LaMacchia set out alone on a bicycle to cross the United States from the Pacific Ocean to Boston. What began as a test of endurance became a story of grit, grace, and quiet miracles. This was not his first time riding a bicycle across the United States; it was his second. He will share stories of the journey and the book he wrote afterwards.

John LaMacchia lives in Knoxville, TN. He graduated from The Ohio State University and taught music in Knox County Schools. He recently published his book about his ride across the country in 2023.
