Calling all thriller readers/watchers! Join us as we discuss Freida McFadden’s The Housemaid and compare it to the 2025 movie. During the first two classes, we will discuss the novel. Please read Part I (chapters 1-37) in preparation for the first class. During the last three classes, we will watch the movie in class and discuss any similarities/differences.

Myndalynn Word is an English adjunct instructor at Roane State Community College and Pellissippi State Community College. She loves to read and especially enjoys the horror/thriller genres. This is Myndalynn's fifth semester of teaching for ORICL, and she thoroughly enjoys getting to talk about literature with all of her students.
