460 Let's Read a Mystery
Literature/Film Studies | Available (Membership Required)
Why do we love mysteries? For some it is the process of watching something artfully concealed slowly revealed. Many of us like a genuine surprise, something we didn’t see coming; yet something, once it is revealed, we realize is inevitable. We appreciate an interesting crime that needs resolution. We crave the intellectual challenge of solving a puzzle. We enjoy being caught up in the cat-and-mouse game between the “good guys” and the “villains” in a thriller. We appreciate the protagonist through dangerous situations, knowing we are safe. For our mystery group, murder and mayhem can be lots of fun. Join us if you dare!
