This is a follow-on to Ukrainian I that began in winter spring 2026. We will be using the book Beginner’s Ukrainian by Yuri Shevchuk, Third Edition, ISBN 978-0-7818-1439-3, available online, or you can order it from the local Books-A-Million.
The alphabet, print and cursive; the concepts of gender and case; pronouns, and intro to aspect; past tense verbs; plural and singular nouns and adjectives; and numbers to 100 were all covered in the winter/spring term. If you feel comfortable continuing with these topics, feel free to join us. There will be about an hour’s worth of homework weekly.
Karen Davis
Karen Davis worked for the federal government for 42 years. All that time she was spent speaking or translating Russian or Ukrainian. For the last 12 years she taught languages to DOD personnel. She scored 4s in reading on the Interagency Language Roundtable scale (near-native) in both languages.
